BARNDANCE OR CEILIDHBAND WITHOUT HEARING THE CALLER?

Some other agencies who specialise in Barn Dance & Ceilidh Bands are content to send out compilation CDs to those who request information on their services. This agency does not do this for two very good reasons.

1) The Caller, who is the most important person, is not featured. The Caller is the person who will encourage your guests to get up on the floor, will walk through the dances quickly first and then call out reminders over the top of the music. They are the people with the big personality - a caller will make or break an evening so be sure to get a good one.

2) Recordings in the studio for a CD or cassette are often augmented with other musicians so that the sound you get on the night doesn't conform with the sound you heard on the recording.

The Barn Dance Agency (founded in 1984) firmly believes that there are only two ways of checking out a band (apart from taking the agency's word for it) and that is to either see the band working or get some verbal or written references.
